About the Community

Wyndford is a community in the Northwest of Glasgow, Scotland. The main area of Wyndford is surrounded by a wall and is known as “the Barracks” due to its history as the former Glasgow city barracks. The area is mainly social housing, including three high-rise residential housing complexes and many more smaller buildings. The estate also has two football pitches and a recently closed primary school. Currently one of the football pitches is being restored by local community members and the school could potentially become a family centre.
